

Moscow's communal services will use new methods of removing snow and ice on sidewalks and bus stops, in particular, heated stone fragments and brooms with tough bristles. Head of the Municipal Department of Housing and Utilities Andrei Tsybiun made this announcement at a meeting of the Moscow Traffic Safety Inspectorate. His First Deputy Nikolai Torobkov added that 5,826 units of equipment will be used to clean the city's roads. Snow will be removed by 46 stationary and 146 mobile snow melters.
