At the USSR Foreign Ministry reception house, USSR Foreign Minister, CPSU Politburo member Eduard Shevardnadze (from right) and US Secretary of State George Shultz signed a government agreement between the USSR and the US on creating a unified radio-navigation system Chayka and Loran-s and an agreement on rescue at sea.
