The 31st Moscow International Film Festival to be held from June 19 to 28 will be opened with Pavel Loungin's movie "The Tsar" starring Pyotr Mamonov and Oleg Yankovsky. The festival will bring together the advocates of both the festival's president Nikita Mikhalkov and film director Marlen Khutsiev, who have been at odds since last December. The selection commission represented Russian film-makers of opposite views while the competition includes the work by Nikita Mikhalkov's supporter Karen Shakhnazarov and the movie by Nikolai Dostal who shares Khhutsiev's views.
