

Before the inauguration of the Petrovsky Stopover Palace after 10 year-long restoration. Designed by Matvei Kozakov, the palace was built in 1776-1780 on the order of Catherine the Great to commemorate Russia's victory in the war against Turkey, and was used by the court as a residence for a respite after the journey from Petersburg to Moscow. At present, it will become the Moscow Government's House to accommodate foreign delegations.
