After conducting large-scale examinations of Danish school children, biologists from Copenhagen University have discovered that girls identify taste better than boys. The boys have a 10% higher threshold of sensitivity to sour taste, and 20% higher to the sweet taste than the girls. Additionally, scientists have established that children rarely prefer sweets. Food producers should take this into account.
