Vandal-damaged memorial plaque (right) commemorating Admiral Kolchak, an Arctic explorer and one of the leaders of the White Guard movement. It was unveiled in Sadovnicheskaya Street, Moscow, in the yard of a chapel built several years ago on his own money by Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov (in the photo) to pay tribute to sailors, mountaineers and Arctic explorers who had died in the service of their country.
