Politician, Russian revolutionary, Social-Democrat, and Bolshevik Karl Radek (Sobelson) (1885-1939). He took part in the Brest-Litovsk peace talks in 1918, and held a high position in the Communist International. In 1925, Radek was expelled from the party for supporting Leon Trotsky; his party membership was restored in 1930. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 1937.
