According to Mikhail Shvydkoy, head of the Russian Federal Cultural Agency, the Year of Russia in India will take off on February 12 with a music concert in the historical district in New Delhi. Shvydkoy also added that "Boris Grebenshchikov, a dedicated Buddhist, will come to India on a tour."
