On November 17, 1970, Luna 17 Soviet unmanned spacecraft delivered Lunokhod 1 lunar rover to the Moon. On January 18, 1971, after two months' of moon roving, Lunokhod 1 returned to the spacecraft's location. The photo shows the spacecraft's airstairs, parts of the lunar rover and black moon sky. The image was made by the telephotometer aboard Lunokhod 1.
