Great Patriotic War veteran Emilia Ivanchenko at her home in Kiev. At the age of 15, she volunteered for the front and defended Kiev together with the people's militia. She now heads an inter-state union for promoting friendship between hero-cities. This photo shows Ms. Ivanchenko and her husband in their younger days.
