July 29, 2007. Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia conducted the first divine liturgy at the restored Ascension Cathedral in the center of Zvenigorod. After the service, the Patriarch visited the memorial on the site of the mass grave of Moscow Defenders who died here in 1941.
