Evald Shpilrain (July 9, 1926, Rostov-on-Don -- March 31, 2009, Moscow) -- Soviet and Russian physicist, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1997), researcher of thermo-physical qualities of materials, one of the founders of hydrogen energy and head of the academic school for productive use of fuel at the Institute of High Temperatures of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
