Stepanovs family. Ilya Stepanov (1917-1943). Pn July 14, 1943 commander of the first tank platoon, Guards Captain Ilya Stepanov died a hero's death in the fierce fighting for the crossing of the Vytebel River during the battle of the Kursk Bulge.
