Moscow, Russia. Members of a church choir take part in a divine service at the Intercession Cathedral on the Moat (St. Basil's Cathedral). The cathedral was built in 1555-1561 on orders from Russian Tsar Ivan the Terrible to commemorate the capture of Kazan and the defeat of the Kazan Khanate on Intercession Day (early October 1552).
