The Commander Islands - an archipelago consisting of 4 islands located in the south-west part of the Pacific Ocean's Bering Sea. The ribers of the Bering and Mednyi isles are rich in freshwater fish. Mainly these are valuable salmon fishes. Besides the rivers are populated with Arctic loach, red salmon, chinook salmon, bull-trout, pink salmon. In coastal area towards autumn fish spawning can be seen. Red salmon male in mating colors.
