Lermontov Grotto. The grotto was created by architects brothers Bernardazzi in 1830-31s as part of the city improvement. The grotto became famous when Lermontov's novel 'A Hero of Our Time' was published, as this romantic place was chosen by the writer as the setting where his characters, Vera and Pechorin, met.
