Lermontov (formerly the Nikolai) Baths. Built in 1831, the baths were known as the Nikolai Baths before the Revolution of 1917. In 1920, they were renamed after Mikhail Lermontov who stayed there for treatment in 1837. The building of the Baths was the first permanent building in Goryachevodsk (former name of Pyatigorsk), and the first medical resort in Russia.
