

Galina Bogdanovich, Ph. D. in Economics, Associate Professor, director of the Center for Energy Efficiency at the Far Eastern Federal University, and the center's leading expert Andrei Karyagin examine the solar panels on the dorm roof of the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island in Vladivostok. A solar water heater has been used at the dorms for the past four months. It provides 500 students and teachers with hot water. This equipment is the most powerful of any at Russian universities and saves about 30% of the thermal energy needed to heat water.
