The Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The Meeting on the Elbe is an episode of World War II, when on April 25, 1945, near the city of Torgau on the Elbe River, troops of the 1st Ukrainian Front of the USSR Army met troops of the 1st U.S. Army.
