The Echmiadzin Monastery, the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church, houses the residence of the Armenian Patriarch, the Catholicos of All Armenians. The Monastery is located in the city of Vagarshapat in Armenia's Armavir Region. The first wooden cathedral was built here in 303 AD.
