

Spectacles for the blind is a simplified name for visually-impaired and blind people, devised by Pavel Kurbatsky, a Bauman Moscow Technological University student from Armavir. This electronic navigational complex consists of glasses with in-built mini loud speakers as well as a special walking stick invented developed by Kurbatsky before. This device enables a handicapped person to detect obstacles on his way and move uninhibited inside buildings and even outdoors by using infrared sensors providing with information on the surroundings.
