

In 1955, a 15-meter granite monument to Josef Stalin by architect I. Shvets was errected on a 15-meter pedestal in Czechoslovakia to mark the 10th anniversary of liberating Prague by the Red Army. The monument was demolished in 1962. Photo from personal archive of Y. Kovalenko.
