An international conference under the motto "Communists for socialism and against imperialism", timed to the 90th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution to prove current topicality of its ideas, gathered delegates of 80 communist and labor parties from every part of the world in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Zhores Alferov, winner of the 2000 Nobel Prize in Physics and Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is among the delegates.
