Children and a dog greet Major Aleksei Kuznetsov of the Altai Republic Border Administration, who came back from a shift to his new military apartment in the village of Ust-Koksa. Border guards in the area near the village of Ust-Koksa patrol the stretch of the border with Kazakhstan at the influx of the Koksa River into the Katun River, in the south of Western Siberia, 200 km from the town of Gorno-Altaisk, the local administrative center.
