The Alexander Column (known as Aleksandriysky Stolp) on Palace Square. The monument built in 1834 to honor the victory of Russia in the 1812 Patriotic War. Designed by Auguste de Montferrand. Height- 47,5 meters. The sculpture of an angel with a cross designed by Boris Orlovsky.
