

Moscow water delivery system is based on water resources of the rivers in the Moscow, Smolensk and Tver regions. Water is delieered to the metropolitan area by three inter-connected water systems located on the Volga and Moskva rivers and their tributaries. Drinking water is provided to Moscow by the Moscow water service (currently a part of Mosvodokanal). Water samples from reservoirs is taken every two hours for testing.
